SecureCorps

Established in 2004, SecureCorps is the only AmeriCorps program in Pennsylvania designed to improve the ability of local agencies to respond during a disaster. SecureCorps members prepare the community by helping agencies, businesses, and faith partners develop and implement disaster service plans.

SecureCorps also helps young people engage with the York County community by providing a summer internship where they gain professional experience while helping to solve real community problems. The SecureCorps Director is responsible for recruiting members for individual placements or team service, and for supervising their work. SecureCorps members receive a living allowance and an education award for their completed service. If you are interested in becoming a SecureCorps member contact the SecureCorps Director for more information.

SecureCorps is funded by the Corporation for National and Community Service through PennSERVE, the Governor's Office of Citizen Service, and the United Way of York County.
