The Community Fund

United Way of York County partners with 34 partner agencies and other organizations in the community to improve people’s lives. Through contributions to The Community Fund, United Way of York County helps people in need in our community and works to prevent problems from occurring in the first place.

The Community Fund is the best way that we, as a community, can address the issues that affect us all. Your contributions are invested in three Focus Areas identified as key to a healthy community.

* Education-Helping children and youth achieve their potential
* Income-Promoting financial stability and independence
* Health-Improving people's lives

Volunteers work hard to ensure that only programs that demonstrate a measurable impact on people's lives are trusted with United Way dollars — making our community stronger, safer and healthier. The Community Fund supports more than 81 programs of partner agencies, and The Special Response Fund makes it possible for partner agencies to address new and emerging community needs.

Together, we can make a difference and create real, lasting change that matters to you and
to our community.
